My Fav’s

December 11th, 2007

This summer has been so busy for me that sometimes I don’t know whether I’m coming or going :) LOL – I have had some time to get back to one of my great loves – READING! I have really stepped “outside my norm” and read some fabulous books and different authors. Here are some must reads if you haven’t already….

The Twilight series - I read all 4 books in a week and a half! My friend Ina brought these books back from the States with her and said “you have to read these”. Yes, they are geared towards teens but I must say I stayed up some very late nights not wanting to put these books down.

The Time Travellers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger – FABULOUS!!!! this book was so different for me but I really loved Audrey’s style of writing and loved how it felt like I was watching the movie while I was reading. I did just go see the movie too and they are quite different from one another and both a must. Some may find it hard how each chapter jumps back and forth in time however, this really does make the book more interesting.

Rick Mofina – I have recently found some books by this author who happens to be Canadian :) His books have been compared to James Patterson & Kay Hooper. They are full of suspense and mystery and really captivate the reader. Here are just a few titles to check out: Every Fear/ No Way Back/ The Dying Hour/ Be Mine

Scrapbook Idea books & Magazine to check out: So if you have ever been to my house you will know that I quite like my magazines and idea books and they take up the other half of books shelf! My 3 FAVS for magazines right now are:

Canadian Scrapbooker/ Creating Keepsakes and Scrapbook & Cards Today

Idea Books: Scrapbook Secrets: Shortcuts & Solutions by Kimber McGray / Sharing Your Story by Ali Edwards / a photos-first approach to designing layouts by donna downey (Simple Scrapbooks)
